So there I was, sat on the sofa at my mum’s house last September/October minding my own business (first time for everything 
), when my big sister (Gillian) said that she was wanting to run the Great North Run (a half-marathon) to raise money for Leukaemia Research - she’d already run a 10k earlier in the year to raise money for them as mum has CLL (a form of leukaemia) - when for some unknown reason I said “I’ll do it with you!”.

Well Becci, Chloe and I all survived the triathlon experience (ok, it was a month ago now, but better late than never!)
We had a fab time and despite being knackered when she finished within 5 mins Becci was asking when the next one was
For now though, my focus is back on the running, with training well underway for marathon eryri. Bit daunting that the full distance will be nigh on 10 miles longer than I’ve done so far, but I’ve got plenty of time to increase that…

We are still alive
Since October we’ve both had some good running, and rather a few too many niggles and injuries. However, we managed to both get it together for a 10k race last week (Darent Valley 10k). Unfortunately as a result of something (maybe it was the water ‘down south’ that did it, maybe just watching the London marathon yesterday, or maybe a big knock to the head) it now appears I’m doing a marathon in 6 months time…. - one of these days I really will learn some self-control as due to getting rather frustrated with the London marathon registration system for the ballot for next years race, I ended up entering the Snowdonia marathon this October. (I actually entered myself 4 times, but that’s another story altogether!)
Looks like I need to get back into training…..
(Oh and for anyone who stil has the faintest hope that there is some small part of my brain that is still sane, I’m doing a triathlon in 8 weeks time, a very short one, but a triathlon all the same)

Gillian and I have now gone through all the donations and chased up most of the money. The (pretty much) finalized total is now on the right, slightly lower than before as a few donations had been duplicated in the process of updating the total along the way!
